ATF Offering Reward for Information about Fire at Albemarle Law Offices

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives today announced a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for setting fire to the Parnell Law Office in Albemarle.

On Feb. 2, 2020, a large fire caused extensive damage to the law office located at 200 S. Second St. Several nearby law offices were also damaged in the fire. Investigators have determined that the fire at the Parnell Law Office was intentionally set.

ATF is the federal agency with jurisdiction for investigating fires and crimes of arson. Anyone with information about this crime should contact ATF at 1-800-ATF-TIPS (800-283-8477). Tips can also be submitted through email at ATFTips@atf.gov or through the ReportIt ® app. All calls and tips will be kept confidential.
